Based in Baltimore County, Maryland, Chesapeake Billiards (www.pool-table-service.com) has the
combined experience of 15+ years of professionally trained moving, installation, and repair experts.
We have worked on some of the greatest (and worst!) pool tables on the market and always strive
to make every table play to the caliber that only a professional player would accept.  We are well-
versed on all major brands including Olhausen, Brunswick, Connelly, AMF, Fischer, The C.L. Bailey
Company, Spencer Marston Billiard Company, Manchester Billiards, and many others. Our

We frequently encounter other pool table companies, or individuals, offering “lowball” prices
for various services. We are a legitimate, established business with years of pool table service
experience, and the quality of our work speaks for itself.  In fact, we are the installation
company of choice for several large clients in the billiards industry. We strive to provide great
service…and we offer fair prices.  There is an old adage: “The bitterness of poor quality
remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”  And today, it still holds true!  Our
service is backed by a six month warranty!  And we’ll be around to honor our commitment to
you—our customer—long after the other fly-by-night outfits have moved on.

would rather have a happy customer  
spreading the word of our great
service than a customer who has to pay
for something that goes wrong every three
months.
 " Give us a call and we'll fix it.”  They
hope!  Some companies hope that you
will call for additional service in a few
months because that means more money in
their pockets.
A full crew of professionally trained
billiard technicians. We do all the lifting,
disassembly, installing, and more. We
will not ask you for your help, or ask you
to hire someone to help us carry the
slate.
 You have to help with the pool table
because the single guy that shows up
can't do the table by himself. He may even
need some "special" tool to help him move
the pool table that could potentially
damage the slate.
A cargo van is more than capable of
moving any type, brand, or size of pool
table. We even carry supplies for
wrapping and securing your pool table
during transport.
 A pickup truck? An SUV?  A Jeep?  
How do you secure a pool table to the
inside of an SUV? In the event it even fits.
We supply all necessary tools, materials,
felt, etc. We will not ask you to buy your
own materials or supply us with tools. We
have contacts within the industry to
ensure that we get the very best prices
on felt so we can then pass the savings on
to our customers.
 “Order your own felt over the internet and  
I will install it.” The other companies may
not even have a wholesale account with a
nationwide distributor.  (You need a
business license for that!)
We Schedule jobs during normal business
hours, and can work around your
schedule. We are very punctual and strive
on the fact that we will get to you on a
timely basis.
 Other “side job” type technicians can only
help you on the weekends or evenings.
What if they don’t show?
We use only the most widely-used and
most correct ways of installing and
servicing pool tables. We use the industry
standard Duo-Fast electric staple gun
and low gauge staples to ensure that the
backing on your slate is not damaged.
 Whatever is the fastest and cheapest  will
get them in and out in a flash. They may
even spray-glue the felt, although spray
gluing a pool table with backed slate is
very inferior to using staples. Glue on the
slate (over time) will build up and cause
the ball to roll off.
We fully disassemble every table we
move, including removal of all three
pieces of slate, making sure that each
slate section is marked and prepared for
re-installation. We also bag all hardware,
and wrap all pool table rails with
packing pads.
 The other company may just remove the
legs of your pool table and attempt to
carry it out all in one piece. Moving a pool
table without proper disassembly is the
most frequently encountered reason for
tables being damaged in moving…often to
the point where they cannot be repaired!
